This weekend our team will participate in a Joint Practice with Gnarly and the KBYC race team, hosted by Key Biscayne Yacht Club. We are looking forward to this opportunity to get some flat, protected water racing experience (similar to what we'll see in Jensen Beach and Pewaukee, WI). To support this J.P. there will be no practice held at LYC this weekend for Advanced or Intermediate Optimists.
Our truck and trailer will be driving down Saturday morning and returning to LYC on Sunday. You can sign up for the Joint Practice and reserve a trailer spot under the "Upcoming Regattas" page, on the document titled "KBYC Joint Practice." We also need 3 towers to get our coach boats down there. Please fill in that area on the g.doc if you can help the team out!
The weekend schedule is below. All the teams will be competing in practice races run by the coaches. There will be group briefings and debriefs with all participating sailors and coaches.
