LYC Optimists,
As we wrap up our spring season, I wanted to share a
few important dates to note on your calendar.
·
Markus will be coaching Silver and Gold combined
practice this weekend. Practice will begin both days at 9:30am.
· The last spring series race will be on Sunday
4/27 for green and silver fleet. The racing will take place in front of the
club from 1:30- 4:30. Gold fleet is encourage to participate in the series
racing but will not be scored. Silver and green fleet will be scored
separately. Silver and gold will start during their normal practice time and
then come in for the series racing at 1:30
·
May 3-4 weekend practice will start and end an
hour later 10:30-5:30 for all fleets. Green fleet will have a normal practice
time from 1:30-4:30. This time change is to reduce congestion at the sailing
center as we are hosting the annual Ron Payne Snipe regatta.
. On Saturday May 10th is the last spring series race for Gold fleet.

Team pictures will taken first thing on the last day of
practice, May 11th.
·
The Hospice Youth regatta is on Saturday May 17th

The spring Banquet is on Thursday May 22nd,
at 6pm. Invitations will be sent out soon. Please email me any photos from the
fall or spring that we can include in the slide show.
