This weekend will be our last practices for the fall season.
Good luck to those of you competing at Orange Bowl next
week! Thank you to the Rozzo’s and Moss’s for towing our coach boats!
I wanted to give a summary of the parent meeting we
had on December 15th-

- It is important that all forms and fees are turned in before or at the first practice. We are getting a locked drop box located outside of the office so you can drop off checks and registration forms or you can mail them in. Note: your child will not be allowed to sail in practice until all fees are paid and forms are in.
- The accounting department is instituting a new policy. They need receivables and YSG past dues before the spring season. There will be an employee from accounting present for the first weekday practices (7th, 8th and 9th) to make sure all dues are paid.
- There is an Opti workday on Sunday, January 12th at 9:45am. This is designated for our green fleet sailors and our club boats. Any parents from other fleets are encouraged to bring their skills and help to the work day.
- We are now including a column in the regatta signup sheet for parent organizers and towers. We need 2-3 parents to tow and one parent organizer for each event. The parent organizer is in charge of planning, travel logistics, snacks, housing and other accommodations for a particular event. All parents should take a turn towing and being the parent organizer for events. When you sign your child up for the regatta write “yes” under the column if you want to volunteer to tow or to be parent organizer.
- The date of the first parent meeting of the spring season will be posted soon.
I hope everyone has a relaxing holiday. I look forward to seeing you all on the water next year!
