On the frontside of this event, as in, before departure from LYC here is some information you need to know...
Tuesday, July 2nd
at 12:00PM all sailors are encouraged to
come to LYC for the boat prep and trailer loading party. Sailors will
be wet-sanding and polishing their hulls and checking all their
equipment before loading the trailer. Phil will provide PIZZA and tents
and umbrellas for shade. (Sailors must provide their own polish,
wet-sand paper, and spare parts, etc.) This should take about an hour.
Wednesday, July 3rd
All boats must be loaded by 12:00PM >>NOON<<
on Wednesday, July 3rd. All Optimists should have a top and bottom cover
(with working straps), the blades fitted beneath the hiking straps,
airbags slightly deflated, sail tube and dollies well labeled in the
trailer bed.
Thursday, July 4th
Phil will be driving the LYC truck and trailer to Michigan. The truck will depart on the Fourth of July at 6:30AM, and will arrive at 7PM on July 5th at GPYC on Lake St. Claire.
Friday, July 5th
Sailors are expected to meet Phil at 7ish to unload the trailer at GPYC to make sure we can be the first to go through measurement on Saturday AM.
Saturday, July 6th
All LYC sailors will register and measure their equipment at 10:00AM, we will launch at 12 NOON for practice and will be off the water at 4PM.
