LYC Opti Family,

I want to send out a big thanks to all the families that participated in the Hospice Youth Regatta. It was a great success.

I especially want to thank you all for you help. Whether you had signed up or not everyone did something to contribute to the smooth running of the day and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Special thanks goes out to Beth and Phil Rielly  who donated the use of their boat as our finish boat. To them and Stacia Lindsay who sat out there all day making sure everyone was present and accounted for and keeping up with the scoring. And Theresa Wagerson on shore for compiling all those scores to give us our overall victors for the day.

To Bob Meagher and Kevin Wagerson for making sure the starts were fast and furious. 

Julia and Juan for being on the course all day and encouraging our sailors to keep going despite some pretty radical wind conditions.

Jay Carrol, Stephen Tate and all those that helped launch and recover the Optis several times during the day.

Meghan Carroll for helping out with registration.

Marc Wellnitz for being Mr. Fixit and MacGyvering several situations.

And finally another mention to Bob Meagher who held my hand whist orchestrating this event. Thanks!

If I’ve forgotten anyone I sincerely apologize, it definitely takes a village to make things like this happen and we were a whole city!!
