FRIDAY NIGHT RACING STARTS JUNE 20TH!!!

 LYC Sailors, Parents, and friends,

Are YOU ready for some Friday Night Fun on the Water at LYC?

JUNE 20th is the first Friday Fun Racing of the summer!

Open to all fleets or any boat that can float!!


Schedule:
4:00     Check-in/club boat assignment & check Out, Sailing Center Office
4:30      Skippers meeting, Upstairs Classroom
5:00     Warning gun, 1st race of the day (Subsequent races to follow)
7:00      Fun Awards & Prizes, Sailing Center

Need to Borrow a club Opti or 420? No problem! Call the sailing office (954) 527-2223 to request a club boat.

LYC Opti Family,

I want to send out a big thanks to all the families that participated in the Hospice Youth Regatta. It was a great success.

I especially want to thank you all for you help. Whether you had signed up or not everyone did something to contribute to the smooth running of the day and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Special thanks goes out to Beth and Phil Rielly  who donated the use of their boat as our finish boat. To them and Stacia Lindsay who sat out there all day making sure everyone was present and accounted for and keeping up with the scoring. And Theresa Wagerson on shore for compiling all those scores to give us our overall victors for the day.

To Bob Meagher and Kevin Wagerson for making sure the starts were fast and furious. 

Julia and Juan for being on the course all day and encouraging our sailors to keep going despite some pretty radical wind conditions.

Jay Carrol, Stephen Tate and all those that helped launch and recover the Optis several times during the day.

Meghan Carroll for helping out with registration.

Marc Wellnitz for being Mr. Fixit and MacGyvering several situations.

And finally another mention to Bob Meagher who held my hand whist orchestrating this event. Thanks!

If I’ve forgotten anyone I sincerely apologize, it definitely takes a village to make things like this happen and we were a whole city!!

It's not too late to register for the Hospice Youth Regatta!

Mail in registration is closed but down load the form and register on the day of the event.

The winner of both green and champs will receive a ticket to the Hospice dinner. Please plan accordingly. Parents will need to buy themselves one for $50 to accompany sailor.

Registration - 8.00am-9.00am

Skippers meeting - 9.00am
